I often hear that word in usual conversations but if I will be ask to define it, for sure I can’t give a very good and comprehensive definition. When my classmates discussed the topic, most of their answer is trust. I think trust is one of the most important factors between two lovers. They should also know how to value and respect each others decision. Patience!!! Be patient, they should know how to wait for each other. Oftentimes, trials are encountered in a relationship. Maybe it is not the right time for them. They should wait for the right time, because if you are really destined for each other, whatever circumstances happened, you can still surpass them and be with each other again.

I still remember the song entitled “Set You Free”. “If loving you is all that means to me, and being happy is all I hope you’d be, then loving you must mean I really have to set you free”, my most favorite part of the song. The song says that, someone should be willing to sacrifice for his/her love one. Though it is very hard to set someone free, especially if you really loved him, you should still let go. To sacrifice is the hardest thing to do, especially if you have to sacrifice your love.

♥♥♥For me, love is true, if you truly love each other. ♥♥♥

Why sometimes our blessings seem to be a disaster for us?

We always desire something for ourselves and we think that they are the best for us. According to an anonymous author, when we can’t get what we love, we must love what we had. True, we can’t get everything we want and the things we had seems to be not so good for us. We, humans are never contented of what we had. When something wrong happens, we often blame somebody for that disaster, without knowing that those disasters can be a blessing. We just don’t realize and appreciate them, because we always expect good outcomes. Often times, we learned several lessons from our failures and those will truly lead us to success. Great blessings!!!

Remember, everything happens for a reason. God won’t give us trials and disaster which we can’t solve. He always gives us blessings in so many forms, like disasters. When we don’t get what we want, for sure He planned something better for us. Disasters will surely let us learn a lesson and realize something. Thus, they are wonderful blessings.

Why do people derive pleasure from the misfortune of others?

We can’t hide the fact that we often derive pleasure from the misfortune of others. For instances, we, students, often laugh when our classmate says something wrong during recitations. We also laugh and crack jokes when someone slides of the floor and when someone commits a mistake. Maybe it is already our nature. Sometimes, we take it as a joke or anything which is not that serious. For us, it sounds funny, but for others it may truly hurt their feelings.

Envy, discontentment and resentment or desire for another’s advantages; when we want something which belong to others, we do everything just to get it. But when we really can’t get it, we find contentment when we see them having a serious mistake. Anger, a strong feeling of displeasure and belligerence; I think it is also one of the reason why we laugh while others are crying. Sometimes, we can’t avoid having conflict with somebody. We also have the ego and our pride is always with us. We always want to win, so when our contenders had a mistake, we take it as an advantage for us.

One for All, All for One (A Celebration of Christmas)

December 19, 2008 – It’s almost 7:00 when I arrived at school, wearing maong pants and P.E. t-shirt. My classmates are all outside the room. Some are busy with their gifts and others are having picture taking with are section’s t-shirts. At last, we had our t-shit already. We are going to wear it this afternoon. [The t-shirt: color-black, front-three stars, back- “Certified Sayanista”, “One for All, All for One”, “Tres-Nitrogenio”] We stayed outside the room. While waiting for my other classmates to open the room, Tenten gave all of us a gift. I received a personalized keychain. After sometime, Jenny opened the room. Only few stayed inside the room. I guessed they are busy, especially the participants for the chorale competition. I can’t remember the exact time when the program started. We are all gathered in the gym. The LIRIKO lead the doxology. The SALIW dance troop had a great performance also. The chorale competition is the most awaited part of the program. Each representative picked numbers to know who will perform first. Unluckily/luckily, the juniors were the first one to perform. (I don’t know if it is luck or misfortune) It’s not just the participants who were nervous. We are all nervous. We already won two times and I guessed it is quite embarrassing if we will lose this time. Everyone is quiet during the performance. haaaa… We are not that confident if we’ll win. The next to perform were the freshmen, followed by the seniors, and the sophomores. After seeing all the performance, we regain our confidence. As a part of the program, the SSG officers and members prepared some games. I don’t enjoy the games that much.

While Viel and I were cheering for the juniors, Ria (the GSP’s chairman) called us. She told us that we will have a meeting about our visit in Tahanan ni Maria. We are not yet sure if we will really go to Carmona. We decided to attend the meeting for us to know what will we do there and to help us decide if we will go or not. Upon entering the scouting room, we saw the other girl scouts dancing. Ma’am May told us to practice also. (haaaaa…..) I really did not expect that I will be dancing in front of many people. I practiced the steps. I felt bad because I can’t get the steps easily. (slow learner.. huh..) After we practiced, my classmates and I return the room. We directly go to the canteen and buy some drinks. After drinking, we go back to the room and practice again. When our other classmates saw us, they asked us why we are practicing. We just told them that we are new SALIW members already. hahaha. While we are busy practicing, we heard the loud shouts. They told us that we grab the 1st place in the chorale competition. Grand Slam!!!

I went home to eat lunch and change my clothes. When I go back to school, Chrisna saw me. She gave me a gift. I felt regretful because I don’t even have a gift for her. In the room, everyone seems to be so happy. We are all wearing our t-shirt. We practiced our presentation first. Though we don’t have enough time to practice and prepare, we still come up to a good presentation. Everyone dance and it is good to see that we are wearing the same shirt. “One for All, All for One”, that’s the motto of our section. The JUNIOR’s Christmas party will be in front of the Maliksi Building. Ma’am Tolentino gave an opening remark. “I now open the close!!!”. Each section prepared a presentation. After the games and the presentation, the Stimuli and the Toydoll wave band showed their wonderful talents as they sing.

After the year level party, we return to our room and we eat the foods that we prepared, baked macaroni, siomai, pizza, ice cream, chickens, etc. After eating, we had the exchange gift. Then, we practice for our dance again. We went out of the room to have some picture taking. We had a lot of pictures and w really enjoyed it. I am so happy and I did not expect that I will enjoy this much. I am so glad to have some memories to treasure as a part of the 3-Nitrogen.

One for All, All for One…

Woman Giving Brother a Kidney

NEW YORK (AP) -- The arrow sliced across the backyard -- unimpeded, unswerving, from 10-year-old Patty's bow to her kid brother's head.
And then, chaos.
Six-year-old Vincent Campbell stumbled into his mother's arms, an arrow stuck behind his ear. Patty, fear stricken, fled and hid. Their infuriated dad chased the neighbor who owned the bow and arrow.
As it turned out, Vinny wasn't seriously hurt. They found Patty four hours later, cowering in the garbage bin under the house.
The day Patty used Vinny for target practice would become family legend. In fact, it was an accident -- he had darted in front of her. She never wanted to hurt him.
``Vinny was always my baby brother,'' she says. ``I kind of always looked out for him.''
Thirty-three years later, Patty -- now Patricia McDonough -- was still looking out for her brother. Vinny's health was failing; he needed a kidney, and Patty had one to give.
But Patty had something else, too: an intimate understanding of the world of organ transplants. She is a nurse, and for the past six years her mission has been to ensure that people who need organs get them.
Now, suddenly, Patty was a donor, not a nurse. After all those years of counseling patients, how would it feel to BE one? Would it happen the way she had always told the donors? Or would she be surprised?
All of these questions were secondary, of course. Her major concern was helping her brother cheat death again.
When Vinny was born, a nurse picked him up, her hand behind his head to support his neck. And that is why, 39 years later, he would need a kidney transplant.
The nurse had a boil on one of her fingers. Staph.
The infection traveled through Vinny's left ear, and he remained in the hospital for a year. Doctors removed part of his mastoid bone; they bombarded him with antibiotics. Finally, they sent him home.

``My mother said the doctors told her she was bringing him home from the hospital to die, that he wouldn't survive his second year, that he would be dwarfed and retarded,'' Patty says. ``I tell him the retarded part was accurate.''
The Campbells were a close-knit and devoutly Catholic family; the kids, three boys and two girls, watched out for each other. Vinny was a sickly child. But his health problems ebbed when he was 5, and soon he was playing football and hockey in the streets of Flushing, Queens.
What no one realized was the effect of all those antibiotics. Vinny was allergic to penicillin, so other, experimental drugs were used. The result: two damaged kidneys, ticking like time bombs.
Vinny grew up, graduated from St. John's University, went to work at the New York City Transit Authority as a computer specialist, got married -- all without a clue that he was in less-than-perfect health.
Patty, too, went to St. John's. But only for a while. ``I wanted to take off a year, and while I was working at Waldbaum's (supermarket), I decided I better go back to school.''
Without too much thought, she decided to become a nurse.
For years, she worked in coronary intensive care. Then, six years ago, she shifted direction and went into transplant medicine.
First she went to work as a procurement coordinator. Hearing of a potential donor -- someone who was brain dead and might offer several organs -- she would rush to the hospital. She would help supervise the care and would counsel their families.
``You're asking families to put aside their own pain and help somebody else. ... It's really a privilege to work with these families,'' she says.
Then, she would consult a list of those awaiting transplants and call their doctors: ``I have a 42-year-old man who has a cranial hemorrhage. This is a heart offer.'' Finally, she would make travel arrangements.
``It's absolutely fascinating work,'' she says. But it is often frustrating, as well.
Sixty thousand people need transplants in this country, 6,000 in New York alone; they wait, and wait, and sometimes die before acceptable donors -- donors who have living wills or whose families are willing to allow organs to be removed -- can be found.
``It is unconscionable that in a country like this, there should be so many invaluable organs going to waste,'' says Dr. Vivian A. Tellis, head of the kidney transplant program at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Late last year, Mrs. McDonough went to work at Montefiore as kidney transplant coordinator, interviewing recipients and matching them with donors. ``It's more than a job for her. It's a calling,'' said Tellis.
She also was responsible for managing Montefiore's list of 975 patients awaiting kidney transplants -- keeping in touch, making sure their condition was stable.
She was well aware of the condition of one patient on the list: Vincent Campbell.
When Vinny was 30, he underwent routine medical tests and received the surprise of his life: His kidneys were beginning to fail. Doctors told him that with a low protein diet, he might slow the deterioration.
It worked for five years, and then creatinine levels in his blood -- markers of renal failure -- began to rise again.
Vinny and his wife, Trina. resolved not to tell their sons -- Kevin, 5, and Brian, 8 -- that their father was sick. Trina's father had just died of complications of diabetes, and had gone through a hellish experience with dialysis; there was no need to frighten the boys.
``I just had enough steam to go to work and come home and crash,'' says Vinny, a jocular man who resembles the actor Nathan Lane.
``Don't worry, I'll find you a kidney,'' his sister, the transplant expert, told him.
Last April, Vinny's brothers and sisters and his wife decided to go en masse for testing to see if any of them might donate a kidney.
The results were good. His sister Judy and brother Christopher were perfect matches; Pat matched half of the six antigen markers, and Robert and Trina also matched, although not as well.
Judy was excluded because she suffers from multiple sclerosis. So plans were set: Christopher would donate his kidney in December.
Except that three days before the operation, doctors determined that Christopher had three arteries connected to his kidneys, an abnormality that ruled him out as a donor.
Pat was next in line.
All along, ``There was this little voice inside me that said, `I know it's going to be me,''' she recalls. And now it was.
Despite all of her seasoning, despite her commitment to transplants, she had an instant of doubt. ``I kind of had myself a good cry over it,'' she says, ``and after that, I had this peacefulness, this certainty that everything was going to be fine.''
Her husband, Terence, a telecommunications executive, was supportive, as were her three teen-agers, Sean, Terence and Kathleen: ``When a teen-ager thinks that you've done something cool, it's a very good thing.''
Her patients ``just thought it was the greatest thing. They said, `Maybe we'll be roommates.'''
Her colleagues did for her what she had done for so many other would-be donors. ``They really did their damnedest to make sure that I was doing this for the right reason, not just because I was a transplant professional and it was expected of me.''
The surgery was scheduled for Jan. 13; Vin and Pat were admitted the night before.
``We laughed a lot, my brother and I. We don't take anything too seriously. I told him (that with a female kidney), every 28 days, he'd probably get a little irritable. He might have to buy some Midol. Don't worry about it.''
Then, she tears up. ``There's no way to thank anybody for a body part. So he just told me that he loved me. And I told him that I loved him.''
They were fully armed for surgery. They were both doused with holy water from Lourdes. They had rosary beads, and a fragment of St. Anthony's bone, and Vinny had a friend's scapular.
Tellis performed the operation; it was, he says, uneventful. Vinny felt better almost immediately. He looks forward to coaching his sons' soccer and baseball teams, to ``getting back my life.''
His sister intends to use her experience as a transplant recruiting tool. ``I'll show them my scar, if that's what it takes. ... They shouldn't say no. If I could do it, they should do it.''
She was unprepared for one side effect of the operation -- an incredible, powerful feeling of bliss. ``It's a really special, emotional thing. We all kind of live our lives and do the best we can. But to have an opportunity to do something so right is just outstanding. You feel so good. ... I look at my brother and think, `I did that for him.'''
Vinny and Patty talk every day now, joking, exchanging news of their respective recoveries, remembering old times, like that long-ago moment when Patty's errant arrow lodged in Vinny's head.
``Now we're even, Vin,'' said Vinny's big sister.
``Fine,'' said Patty's little brother.

♥♥♥Math Festival♥♥♥

Monday…

It’s Monday again!!! Back to school… This day is quite irritating but enjoying. I rode a tricycle ingoing to school and sad to say the driver is quite “ewan”. I reached the Montessori School before reaching the school. Good thing, the flag ceremony is not yet starting. Upon arriving to school, I rush to do my assignment in Filipino. Classes started. During our Math time, we continue playing Damath. My opponent is Froiland. Sad to say, I lost. Sir Mojica is not around and we don’t have any seat work in Statistics. We just talked about different stories featured in “Maalaala Mo Kaya”. We also don’t have classes in Physics, so we just do our Christmas decorations. For our English period, we lecture about bibliography. We did not have our quiz in Music and we just continue doing our Christmas decorations. We checked our previous activities in Analytic Geometry. Our teachers told us that our class will be separated again. (hmmppp… I don’t like it…) We did an activity in Chemistry. We used some balloons. I enjoy inflating it. I enjoy while watching Ma’am Bisa doing the activity. (^_^peaceout…) I brought home the balloon that we used and I gave it to Princess (my cousin).

Tuesday…

We are all busy reviewing for Aralin Panglipunan. (hmmpp… judgment day) While waiting for Ma’am Nazareno to come, Ma’am Tenny talked to us about our grades and about the section. The judgment day was postponed because Ma’am Nazareno arrived late. We do the MPS of the exams of the first year students in Math. Haayyy.. It is quite boring. At last, Sir Mojica attends the class. He taught us a new lesson, but I can’t understand the discussion. The lesson in Physics is confusing for me. My group mates and I were not able to answer the activity correctly. We also have MPS during our Enlish. While having it, we are also busy reviewing for our quiz in Music. As usual, our discussion in Health is boring again. Haaayy.. New routine for our Anal. Geom. We all expected that MA’am Rhea will be our teacher, but then it was Ma’am Saburao. We did another activity in Chemistry. Though I am afraid to do it, I am still able to do it. While holding the can, my hands are shaking. After the activity, we thought that we will be dismissed already. But, we still had a quiz.

Wednesday…

I arrived at school late. Then, we cleaned our respective areas. After cleaning, we changed our clothes and wear our P.E. uniform. Though, Ma’am Malou is not around, we still have to play table tennis for the sake of having grades. My opponent is Chala. We both don’t know how to play; Luckily, I won over her. We discussed about polynomials during our Math period. Then, we eat crinkles and pancit malabon during recess. We just have a seat work during statistics and we do it in the gym because Ma’am Tenny had her class in our room. We discussed another lesson in Physics and I can’t understand it again. Our group’s answer in the activity is wrong again. I just bought lunch in 7-11 and I ate it in the room with Elaidia. We had A.P. period today. Ma’am Nazareno gave us several sermons. (Nitrogen, Nitrogen, anu ba naman kayo???) I really felt pressured during her class.

.
Thursday…

Most of the teachers did not attend the class. We are also very few because others are practicing for the math jingle and others are preparing for the Math festival. During vacant times, I played the tower of hannoi. It is confusing but it is also enjoying in some ways. In the morning, Ma’am Ureta is the only teacher who attends the class. Because we are only few, we are given a lot of chance to answer and we received a lot of “tara”. After eating lunch, everyone is busy reviewing for Araling Panlipunan. We are all afraid to be scolded again. Ma’am Tenny did not attend the class also, but during her period we are asked to decorate the LRC. It is enjoying. Then, we hurriedly go back to the room to study. After some time, Ma’am Nazareno arrived. I thing she’s in the mood today. The flow of discussion is good and enjoying. All of us were able to answer. During recess time, we are all eager to tell our other classmates that we are not scolded in AP.

Friday…

It’s Math Festival. Everyone seems to very busy. Some students cannot enter their room because their room will be used as a station for the Math Trail. We cleaned our areas first. Then, we stayed in the room. We went in the gym for the Math quiz bee. Sad to say, the students are not allowed to stayed there and watch. We just stay near the guidance to watch the practice of the math jingle. After watching, I eat recess with Camille and Micah. Then, we stayed near the TRC to have some chitchats. Camille and I talked about are elementary days. It is fun remembering past moments. We went in the gym for the quiz bee. Haaayyyy…We try answering some problems, but they are really complicated. Though the quiz is not yet done, we decided to leave the gym. We stayed in the canteen. Then, we eat lunch with Micah, Paulo, and Zaborah. After eating, I stayed in the LC with Camille and Roselle. Everyone is excited to see our Ms. Mathaba. Kathreen arrived and she is really pretty. The program started. I really admire the way Kathreen walks on stage. She is really confident. Her dance is also good. How I wish,I could dance that way too. After that, it’s Math Jingle turn. hmmppp… They are soooooooo… good. “Theorem… Theorem…rem…rem… Pythagorean!!!” Our Math Jingle won but our Math Taba lost.

New Routine!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 222px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_dbEXxXDqWlA/SUN13w8FhqI/AAAAAAAAAB0/MuVb5ov6bJM/s400/class+sched.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279192789098530466" />
New Routine!!!

Last week, our adviser announced that we will be having a new schedule starting this Monday. The schedule is quite confusing.

Every Monday, our first subject will be Filipino, then Mathematics. Actually, it is just the same as the previous schedule. After the recess, we will have Araling Panlipunan. (terrible..) After studying about world history, we will discuss about atoms and molecules. Our next subject will be Chemistry. As what we expected, we are always dismissed late. Sometimes, the other students were already through eating their lunch. Though we are really hungry, we can still managed to laugh. We enjoy our lunch always. It seems that we own the canteen, because we are the only students eating at that moment. After eating lunch, we are immediately fixing our things and preparing ourselves for the next subject. Our next subject is Statistics. haaayyy…. I really felt sleepy during 12:30 – 1:30.Whlie discussing I often got bored and fell asleep. (can’t blame myself. huh) After staying in the Physics Laboratory, we have to go back to our room and have our Physics. Our schedule in elective did not change. It is still after recess in the afternoon. Our last subject is English every Monday to Thursday.

From 12:30 to 1:30 our schedule is just the same. Statistics, Physics, Elective and English. Every Tuesday, our first subject will be Araling Panlipunan then, Mathematics, then Health, lastly, Chemistry. The Schedule for Mathematics and Chemistry is just the same for the whole week. On Wednesday, PE will be our first subject and Filipino will be after recess. During Thursday, Filipino will be our first subject and Araling Panlipunan will be after the recess. Every Friday, English is our first subject and Music and Arts is after recess. We still have vacant period from 4:00-5:00, every Friday, which is allotted for club meetings.

񇍕򿔤񽡶Fully Loaded񇍕򿔤񽡶

November 09, 2008, and it’s my 15th birthday. Though I am already awake, I decided to stay at my room and ponder some thoughts. Now that I am already 15, I thought of making some changes in my life. After a while, my mom and my cousin entered the room, greeting me a happy birthday. When I go out of my room, everyone greeted me and they all asked for blowout. This day is just an ordinary day, except for the fact that today is my birthday. Eating some bread for my breakfast is a daily routine every weekend. My mother asked me to go to the market to buy some foodstuffs. I rode on a tricycle in going to the market. Honestly, I didn’t know where to buy those stuffs. Luckily, I am able to accomplish my tasks. When I arrived, I start doing my assignments. Mama Dig and Ate Erna arrived. We ate our lunch. Though it is my birthday, I still have to wash the dishes. After washing, I continue doing my assignments in my room, while listening to my MP4. Mama Gie prepared some spaghetti for my birthday. We ate it for our merienda , with some breads and softdrinks. After eating, I continued doing my homework. My mom stayed with me in the room. Upon seeing that my things were all scattered in my bed, she asked me if the books issued to me were still complete. I can’t answer immediately because I lost a book in Araling Panlipunan. She scolded me a bit. Then, she told me to save money for my lost book. ^_^ I slept very late due to my assignments.

Back to school… My mom woke me up several times. There were still some spaghetti left and we ate it for breakfast. When I arrived, my classmates and friends greeted me belated happy birthday. They also asked for blowout. Regular classes went on. We checked most of the test papers in our periodic test. Some of my grades were fine and others were really low. I almost cried upon seeing my grades. (Tears of Joy and Tears of Sadness!!!) Though we just checked our test papers, we are still loaded with a lot of works. Our schedule seems to be so hectic.

Every night, I was left alone doing my assignments. Sleeping for 4-6 hours is a big sacrifice for me. I am not use of that. During weekends I slept for 8-10 hours. I always felt sleepy during classes.

Comics Strips -@- it’s Thursday and tomorrow will be the submission of the comics strip. I haven’t started it and I don’t know if I can finish it. After doing all my home works and other assignments, I started doing my comics. I stayed outside my room. While watching television, I made a scratch of my comics. It’s is so late already but I haven’t have even a page for my project. To avoid being sleepy, I took some chocolate drink and eat some bread. It’s seems to have no effect and I still felt sleepy. Then, I drink coffee. I put a lot of coffee on it. I continue doing my comics. I did not notice the time and it is already 12:00. My comic does not have any improvement yet. I just continue doing and doing it. Though I felt sleepy, I still decided to continue and do it. I did everything so that I won’t fell asleep. I listened to my MP4 and I watched television (the shows are quite boring). 1:00 AM, 2:00 AM, 3:00 AM. I don’t know if I will still sleep. My comics improved a little already. 4:00 AM, My mother woke up. She saw me doing my comics. She scolded me for not sleeping. I just continue doing my project. 5:20 AM, My project is almost finish. I clean the area where I worked all night long, kept all my things and eat my breakfast. After preparing my self in going to school, I hurriedly ride on a tricycle and directly go to school.

At school, everyone is busy with their project. Some were busy with the assignment in Chemistry. While having classes, I felt so sleepy. During vacant period, I tried to take a nap. Some of the teachers were busy regarding our report cards. During our English time, we just clean our room for the PTC. After checking our assignment in Kayumanggi, Mam Tolentino gave us time to do the Talasalitaan. After finishing it, I have some siesta again. I did not notice the time. It’s almost 4:00. My mother is already outside our room. I felt nervous because of my grades. After my mom got my card, I look at it quickly, nervously, and excitedly. I am so happy to see that all my grades improved. !!! ^_^

SeM bReAk…

Monday- Upon knowing that my father did not allow my cousin and I to visit Baguio this sembreak, I promised to keep myself busy. When I woke up, I look for breakfast, but sad to say my cousins ate all the foods in our house. I just bought some biscuits. hmmppp… My mother told me to go in the store to buy a gift for my cousin. I bought a spiderman pillow. After buying, I decided to go to the salon to have a new hair cut. My hair is not yet finished when some of my cousins arrived at the salon. After having a new hair cut, we went to my cousin’s house at San Nicholas, Maragondon. We had our lunch there. After watching and eating, we went home to take a bath. After some time, Mama Dig and Papa Ernie arrived at our house. We will go to Santino’s 1st b-day at Jollibee Tanza. While we are on the trip, Princess, my 3 years old cousin, count all the cows and carabaos that she saw. She’s quite funny. Upon arriving at the place, I saw my other titas. I also saw Santino, the b-day boy. He is extremely cute and adorable. Honestly Speaking, the party is quite boring. Most of the kids do not want to play. The children just enjoy when the mascot entered. After the party, we went home.

<<< 13 days before my b-day>>>

Tuesday – Waking up very late, I can’t blame myself for not having breakfast. As usual, they ate it all again. My mother is not at home. She is going with my grandmother, getting her pension. My mother told me to clean our room. It is already late when I started cleaning. My mother and my grandmother arrived and I haven’t cleaned the room. My mother told me to clean the room fast because we will still go to the dentist. It is almost 3:00 when I finished. My mom decided to go tomorrow. After cleaning, I fell asleep. When I woke up, I took a bath. Then, I ate pizza for my merienda. While watching TV at night, my cousins and I got hungry. We ate the biscuits of my grandmother. The biscuit does not taste good, so we put some ube jam. hmmm… yummy ^_^

<<< 12 days before my b-day>>>

Wednesday - My mother, grandmother, Kuya Jay-R, and Ate Anna are not at home when I woke up. My mother and grandmother were visiting the doctor for a check-up, while my cousins were in the school getting their class card. I ate some pandesal with ube jam for my breakfast. I planned to do my projects. But then, I got so lazy and I did not accomplish any task. Kuya Allan and I have to cook our food for lunch. We really don’t know how to fry the chicken. First trail, the chickens were not that cook. Second trial, the chickens were over cooked. haaaaayyyy… It is really hard. After cooking, we eat our lunch. Then, I washed the dishes. My mother and grandmother arrived already. Our visit to the dentist was postponed again. After watching T.V., I slept. When I woke up, my father had arrived already. He bought a MP4 for me. (hmmppp… advanced birthday gift!!!)

<<< 11 days before my b-day>>>

Thursday – The noise in our house wake me up this day. My fathers, together with my cousins are fixing our comfort room. We cannot use the CR. I have to take a bath early because we I will have my dental check-up today. I took a bath at my cousin’s house. After taking a bath, we go at the market. After buying our food for lunch, we go to the dentist. Sad to say, the dentist is not there. Before going home, I went to the computer shop. In the afternoon we go back to the dentist. At last!!! One of my teeth was removed. The dentist injected anesthesia for five times. (haaa….) I almost cried. After that, we bought some ice creams. Then, we go home. At home, I cannot talk and I cannot eat well. After eating dinner, I took 3 medicines. I easily felt sleepy and I did not watch “3 Dads with 1 Mom”. *_*

<<< 10days before my b-day>>>

Friday – As usual, I woke up very late again. I just bought some biscuits for my breakfast. haaayyyy… I can’t eat that much. I spend the whole morning, listening to my MP4. Then, I started doing my prophecy. My mind does not work again, so I just watched T.V. After eating lunch, I do my sister’s investigatory project. I almost finished it. Then, we ate some bread for our merienda. We all watch the final episode of “They Kissed Again”. While watching, my cousin cooked some popcorn. hmmmppppp… After eating dinner, Ate Inah arrived. She asked me to teach her how to fix the rubiks cube. She also bought some sodas and breads for snacks. Together with my cousins and grandmother, we ate them all. We slept very late!!!

<<< 9 days before my b-day>>>

Saturday – It’s All Saints Day!!! Though I slept very late last night, I still woke up early today. I ate some hotdogs for breakfast, and then I immediately take my medicine. I just stayed in our terrace with my mom and younger sister. After some time, Mama Dig arrived. She arranged the flowers that we will bring in the cemetery. I did my prophecy. I finished it already but I haven’t written it yet on my formal theme. Before lunch, Ninong Eric, Ninong El, Erika, and Mama Gie arrived. We ate our lunch. For our lunch, we have sinigang and fried fish and for dessert, we have some buko salad and leche flan. I was assigned to wash the dishes. After eating and wathching TV, my mom, tita, sister, and my other cousins already go in the cemetery. It’s already 3:30 when I go in the cemetery with Ate Anna and Ate Jenny. When we arrived in the cemetery, I saw some of my former classmates. We ate some fish crackers and drink some juice. Ate Jenny and I go out to buy some foods. Upon going out, we saw Ate Erna and Mama Dig. Ate Erna bought some donuts. At 5:00, my mother and my other titas already go home. My cousins and I stayed in the cemetery until 7:30. We just walked in going home. When we arrived, we eat our dinner and we also watched TV.

<<< 8 days before my b-day>>

■ ■ ■ Aftershocks ■ ■ ■

After the Intramurals, everything returns to normal. We had the flag ceremony, lead by the Interact club. Then, we cleaned our respective areas. After a while, classes start. Most of the teachers are not around. Though, they left several seat works. Some of the teachers attended the science fair. Some of my classmates did not attend the class also. Most are busy finalizing the school news paper. Others are also busy for the cheer dance. This week is a very busy week. When I go home, I made my blog, informal themes, assignments, and finish some of the seat works. I also study for our Araling Panlipunan.

On the next day, everyone is busy studying for AP. It is our first subject. Others are still busy for the seat works. Haaaayyy… Maybe, it is still better to have regular classes than doing a lot of seat works. During AP period, Ma’am Nazareno left us a seat work. She told us to study for the recitation tomorrow. Most of us did not finish it on time. It is really long.

Some are still talking about the past intramurals. ^_^ We still had an aftershock. hehehe…

Most of the teachers are already present because the science fair is already done. I really felt lazy attending classes. hmmppp… I am still happy because there are still some teachers who did not attend the class. We are also very few in the section. Dei, Ria, Eladia, Froiland, and Aaron were busy for the cheer dance tomorrow. Some were also busy finalizing the school newspaper. And others were busy reviewing for some contests. Lastly, others were busy practicing for the district meet tomorrow. We expected that we will not have classes tomorrow. How I wish!!! hmmp…

October 16, 2008 – Today is the District Meet. When I arrived, I finished my assignments in Filipino and in Chemistry. After finishing my assignment, our group cleaned the cactus garden. I trimmed the grasses and water the plants. After some time, the students from Bucal National High School and Maragondon National High School arrived. (hmppp… school invasion) Mam Tolentino go to our room. We thought that we will have classes. After putting her class record on the table, she went out to get something. The program on the gym is near to start. We decided to go on the gym to watch, though, we are not yet sure if we will have classes. There are really a lot of students. I also saw my former classmates. I am so happy to see them. I even introduced Jeanne to Sheila. Then, the program started. The Liriko sang the doxology. Their voices are extremely amazing. The students were so amazed, that they applaud after the doxology. hehehe… It’s quite funny. The Maragondon National High School presented their cheer dance. The dance is also good. After that, it’s our schools turn to present the cheer dance. Being so biased, I enjoy our school’s performance than the performance of the other school. Each school also has their own muse and escort. Before the games start, the flag of the different schools were raised. The basketball game, sepak, and chess were played in our school while the other games were in MNHS. We watched for the whole day, except during our Chemistry time.

TGIF…. After the district meet, we had regular classes already. In the afternoon, many of the alumni visited the school. It is nice to see them again!!!

♥♥♥My Mother, My Savior♥♥♥

Think about one person whom you most admire and who has influence you in an important way. What are the qualities of this person? Explain how he or she helped you make a significant change in your life.

Upon reading the question, the first person who comes into my mind is my mother. When I was still young, we are not really close, thinking that she loves my younger sister more. Our relationship has changed since I entered high school, where I met different kind of people.

Though she is just a regular housewife, she still showed us her real importance and essence as a woman. Preparing our foods and clothes every morning is not an easy task at all. She does that every day without any complains. My mother took up and finished an accounting course so it is just easy for her to find a job. Despite the job offers, she refused to work because she still want to do her work as a mother to my sister and I, and as a wife to my father. Sometimes, I can’t avoid having some bad feelings to her. I guess it is a part of the relationship.

Our relationship as a mother and daughter is quite different. I don’t talk to her in a formal way, instead I talk to her as if she is just one of my barkada. She also does the same. Our favorite past time is talking before we sleep. We slept beside each other.

As a mother, she always keeps the strong bonding within our family. She did everything to sustain our needs and she always makes sure that we are in a good condition.

Facing several problems is a part of growing up. During that stage, only one person stay at my side and helped me. She is my mom. Though my problems are too childish, she still helped me and she makes sure that I will learn a lesson. She taught me how to be strong and how to accept everything, because they are happening for a reason. Raising my spirit when I was so down and always correcting m mistakes, I want to grow up like her someday.

Someday, I aspired of becoming a successful accountant. I know that being an accountant is significant for her. I always promised that I will worked for them and buy their dream house someday.

Having her as a mother is one of my reasons why I always pray at night and thanked the Lord for this wonderful blessings.

Red Macintosh vs. Blue Vaio

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_dbEXxXDqWlA/SPHMlWiBi_I/AAAAAAAAABs/KX_KN0zRM1w/s400/basketball+girls.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256207182193593330" />

When I heard of the Basketball Girls competition, I thought of it as a game for fun only. I thought that it won’t be that serious. I imagine the way they will run and dribble the ball. The championship game for the basketball girls was held last Thursday. It is between the Red Macintosh and Blue Vaio. Before the game started, the players practiced for a while. The supporters of each team are very eager to cheer. Each time the players can score, the team will shout and cheer. Each team is really determined to win. On the first quarter, the score is 2-12, in favor of Red Macintosh. Due to the determination of each team, some of the players got injured. I guess it is a part of the game. With the help of the Basketball Boys players, the girls learned some techniques regarding the game. The Red Macintosh is coached by Froiland, who is the team captain of the basketball boys. It is also enjoying watching them shout while playing. Some of the players are so girly even though they are on the court and playing. “MAC-INT-OSH… Macintosh!!!”.“V-A-I-O… Vaio!!!”. Some of the players also had some violations, like traveling and foul. The game got more intense when the scores of the two teams became close. All the players did their best for their teams to win. They did not bother their wounds and injury. The Red Macintosh won over the Blue Vaio, with the score of 15-18. After the game, the Red Macintosh, together with some of the teachers, had a thanksgiving prayer.

♣_♣A Game of Fun♣_♣

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dbEXxXDqWlA/SPHMLd1QeMI/AAAAAAAAABk/VyThrNd6IQo/s400/1_403317961l.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5256206737476712642" />
This intramurals is my most unforgettable intramurals. It is my first time to play. I joined the Sepak, though I really don’t know how to play. Our first game is last Wednesday. IT is between the Green Acers and Red Macintosh. Before the game started, they explained the rules and the mechanics of the game to us. We are really nervous. After they had explained the rules, we practiced for a while. After some time, the game had started. The Green Acers were the first to serve the ball. Their serve did not reach our court, so it is a point for us. With our teamwork, we got successive points. I and Sheila were the ball thrower, while Alpha is the server. After getting 21 points, the first set of the game is done already. “End line”, the announcer said. We really don’t get the meaning and we don’t know what to do. It is really funny. It is our first time to play and it is quite embarrassing. The audience are all laughing. After the endline, the second set of the game started. It’s our turn to serve the ball. Some of my throws were not so good and Alpha wasn’t able to kick it. Most of the serve of our opponent were faults, and we easily got points. We got the first 21 points on the second set, so we won the game. After the game, we are very happy to tell our team mates that we won. Our next game will be tomorrow. Our opponent will be the Yellow Asus.

MAC-INT-OSH…. Macintosh!!!

This 2008-2009 Intramurals is quite different to the past intramurals. The teams are by year level, there are more games for girls, and there is also a cheer dance competition. The participants in the competition are by year level also. Before the intramurals, the participants were busy preparing and practicing for the dance. Upon arriving, the 3rd year participants braid their hair. The cheer dance competition is a part of the opening program of the intramurals 2008-2009. The team leaders pick numbers for the arrangement of the performances. The first one to perform was the Green Acers, the freshies, then, the Red Macintosh, Blue Vaio, and the Yellow Asus. Each team has their own uniqueness. The Green Acers showed their talents in cheering with their pom-poms. The Red Macintosh has the greatest number of cheer dancers. “MAC-INT-OSH…. Macintosh!!!”. Their dances are really cute, especially their steps. Dei showed her karate skills in kicking and breaking the wood. On the other hand, Froiland showed his basketball skills in rotating the ball on his fingers several times. Being a member of the Saliw dance3 troupe, Karla showed several tumbling stunts. The dance got livelier with the sounds of the drums and the 3rd year drummer, EJ. Blue Vaio has the least number of participants. Their dance are also cute. Yellow Asus also had pom-poms. After all the performances all the teams are still cheering. Before the announcement of the winners, we had a short break first. After the break, the students are all gathered in the gym. The Green Acers got the 4th place and got 15 points. The Yellow Asus got the 3rd place and receive 20 points. The announcement of the champion is the most awaited event. We are really nervous. The 2nd place goes to ……………………… ………………….. Blue Vaio. They got 25 points. The 1st place and the champion goes to the Red Macintosh. “MAC-INT-OSH…. Macintosh!!!”. We receive 30 points. Though, we did not join the cheerdance, we are still very happy because our team won. The winners will showed their dance on the coming district meet.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://karenanadventure.blogspot.com/2008/10/mac-int-osh-macintosh.html' title='MAC-INT-OSH…. I left it last Friday. My mother told me that if I cannot find my umbrella, she will not buy umbrella for me anymore. It is my second umbrella. I lost my first umbrella. Upon placing my things on my chair, I went outside the room to check if my umbrella was there. (aaahhhh… it’s not there)I go back to our room and ask if someone saw it. (haaahhh…)LUCKily, someone place it inside the room. We attended the flag ceremony. We all thought that this week will be fun because of the coming Intramurals. We thought that we will not have regular classes anymore. Still, we had classes.

We had regular classes and we discussed new lessons. If I found my umbrella luckily, something happened very unLUCKily. I forgot that we had an assignment in Mathematics. I just new it when our teacher asks us to check it. My notebooks are still in my locker. I really don’t know what to do. I feel so bad. Most of my classmates got a perfect score, because the assignment is quite easy. I wasted the opportunity of getting a perfect score. I really got depressed. I’m so idiot!!!

After discussing a lot of things in MAPEH last week, we had several quizzes this week. Honestly, I din’t suited that much. UnLUCKily, I failed. haaayyy!!! Anyway, her subject does not bother me that much.

Staying in the school last Monday afternoon is one of my most memorable moments in the campus. We waited for Lerina because they are still having a “mass” with their adviser. ^_^ While waiting, we talked and talked about several things. It is really enjoying. I am with Camille and Micah. Sheila is also with us. She told us some funny stories. lol. I just feel so LUCKy to have some friends like them. I really enjoy every moments with them. After waiting for a very long time, the “mass” is over. We go home. Before going home, we all passed by the seven eleven to buy some foods and drinks because we are all hungry and thirsty. When I arrived home, I told my mother about the “mass” and what have we done while we are waiting for Lerina. I am so LUCKy to have a mother who is always willing to lend her ears for my stories.

We are scheduled to have a medical and dental last Thursday, 1:00-3:00. We are really LUCKy because we are the first section. We finished the medical early, then we didn’t have classes anymore. We spend our time in practicing for the Intramurals. I forgot to say that I will play Sepaktakraw. (hahaha… I don’t know how) At first, I really complained because it is really painful when you are hitting the ball. After some time, I successfully kick the ball. We just got so happy and we make noise. The principal scolded us. How unLUCKy!!!!

We did not attend our Anal Geom because the cheer dancers are practicing in the III-H room, where we are having our class. We are LUCKier than the Zoologists because they still had their class. We attended the Chemistry class. We had another quiz. As usual, my scores are not that fine. (unLUCKy!!!) We did not finished the period, because we had our meeting for the intramurals. During the meeting, we talked about the cheers and about the games.

We are about to go home, when Ma’am Tenny saw us. She asked us to give the t-shirt of Ma’am Jackie to her. We look for her, but we did not see her. We decided to go to her house, thought we really don’t know her house. We go there and ask for her house. Finally, we found her house. We knocked on the door but no one is answering. After several times of knocking (tok-tok-tok), someone finally answered. She told us that Ma’am Jackie is not yet there. (Whaaaaaaaaaatttt????) We give the shirt to her. We’re really unLUCKy. We decided to go back to the school, thinking that Ma’am Jackie is there and she’s looking for her shirt. We saw her near the gate, calling on her cellphone. “Ma’am, excuse me!!! We brought your t-shirt on your house. We are looking for you a hile ago, but we can’t see you”, we said (Karen, Camille, Lerina, Micah and Princess). Ma’am stop calling. She told us that she is calling Ma’am Tenny because she is looking for her shirt. Good thing, we go back to school.

We don’t have classes this Friday because of the Alay Lakad. We decided to practice. hmmppp…. I enjoy practicing, though my feet is really aching whenever I am hitting the ball.

♥♥♥I am so excited for the coming intramurals!!!♥♥♥

Life is so Boring…

After the periodic test last week, we just have regular lessons for the whole week. It is so boring. I can’t remember any memorable events. (whehehe… memory gap!!!) I didn’t enjoy that much. hahaha… I also felt so pressured because of my grades. ^.^ hmmmppp… I felt like I cannot pass the third year. haaaaaa…. I don’t want to fail and transfer to other school.

“Ang Alamat ng Gubat”, Bob Ong

I spent my extra time reading the “Alamat ng Gubat”, by bob Ong, instead of reading and studying about Spartans and Greeks. (hehehe… wish me luck, during AP time) The story is just fine, but if you will think of it, the crab in the story symbolizes the Filipinos. It is very funny. I also remember the dog, who is really very disgusting. (I can’t mention the reason why, it is sooooooooo… eeeewwww….) hahaha,,, I just enjoy it.

Pictorial in the Room

One of the requirements for the intramurals is 5 pieces pictures. I had my picture with Lerina in the photo shop. My other classmates had it in our room. They used red cartolina for the background. After taking the pictures, they took some funny pictures.

Intramz is Getting Nearer!!!

The intramurals is very near already. I am really excited. Others were already practicing for their sports. Last Friday, we watched the volleyball practice. I am so afraid that I might be hit by the ball. It is also funny, because Kathreen was hitted several times. It iseems that she is the target. ^_^

Pizza… hmmm… Yummy!!!

Ajae celebrated her birthday last Friday and her parents brought some pizzas and drinks. While we are having Filipino, others were getting destructed because of the smellof the pizza. During our recess, the whole section in the pizzas. They also took some pictures while we are eating. Belated happy b-day Ajae!!! TY for the pizza and drinks!!!!

Embarrassing Moment…

Usually, I am really noisy while having classes. During our Analytic Geometry time, I felt so embarrassed!!! (hahaha… nakakahiya talaga yun!!!!) After borrowing very big tape and scissors for our chemistry, the classes started. We checked the quiz that we did last time. After that, the papers were returned to us. At first, I don’t receive my paper. Then, I told it to Ma’m Rhea. After some time, I already received my paper, it was hidden by Paolo. Our teacher is still asking for the paper of Karen. I thought that she is referring to me. So, I told her that I already found my paper. After several times of telling her, she is still looking for the paper of Karen. “Ma’am I already have my paper”, I said. “Oh, It’s not your paper, it’s Karenina’s paper.” Everyone laughs. And I really felt so embarrassed. My world stopped. (whehehe…)

moral lesson: wag masyadong epal dahil hindi lang ako ang nag-iisang Karen sa mundo!!!

Just Having Some Fun♥♥♥

Finishing assignments is of the scenario in the room every morning. Well, I guess it is a part of being a student. This Monday, we’re busy doing the assignment in Filipino. (I’m confused with the direction,,, whehehe) Almost everyone is cramming just to finish the homeworks (hmmppp…) As usual, we are late in the flag ceremony again!!! This time, the Lyrico were assigned to lead the flag ceremony. Our platoon leader is a Lyrico member so we have a new platoon leader for this week. (Haaaa… he’s quite boring!!!) I enjoy the doxology because the melody and rhythm of their voices are really nice. How I wish I have that kind of voice!!! [hmmppp… I think it is impossible^_^] After the flag ceremony, we cleaned our respective areas. My group was assigned to clean the guidance center. We just cleaned outside because it is still close. After cleaning, we had our classes. We also have checked our long test in Mathematics and Analytical geometry. My score in Math is not passing, but my score in Anal. Geom is quite high. We also had the division test in Pyhsics. If we can get 80% and above, we will be exempted to the periodic test. and sad to say, I am not exempted. I just got 73% BUT it is just fine, at least, I am not the lowest (weee!!!!). We just have a seat work in Chemistry. One of our classmate have a book of jokes and they read it. hahaha, the jokes are funny!!!! I wasn’t able to finish the seat work in Chemistry and I just continue it in our house. Upon arriving at our house, I immediately eat my dinner. I did not study very well for the periodic test. (haaaayyyy… another failing mark!!!)

It’s periodic test day (2.1). When I woke up, I remember that I haven’t study for Filipino yet. I remember the Suring Pelikula and the Talasalitaan. While in the tricycle, I read the Suring Pelikula. At school, I still review for Filipino. We will just have three exams for this day, Math, Statistics, and Filipino. I just focused on Filipino. The periodic test in Mathematics is just fine buet the test in Statistics is hard and it is very long It is already 9:20 and we are not yet done in Stat. Though the test in Statistics is hard, we are not that bothered about it. (hayyyy…. unfair!!! walang kapares acc. to Sir Mojica) We just eat our recess in the canteen, while we are reviewing for Filipino. After the test, we cleaned our area again. Good news!!!! We don’t have classes in the afternoon tomorrow. hahaha… Before going home, we had an ice cream break in seven eleven. I did not enjoy it so much because the ice cream has melted already. We didn’t finish our ice creams there. I arrived at home with ice cream. Sad to say, my mother scolded me because of eating ice cream and to cold foods. (hayyy… masarap talaga ang bawal,,, hehehe) I watched the tv, and I ate my lunch. After eating, I slept in my room with my cousin. When I woke up, I started studying BUT nothing is entering my mind. I decided to go at the store to buy some merienda but nothing is available. I am really badtrip. I just watched the Basketball Tribe. It is my first time to watch the show. For me, the story is nice BUT most of the actors and actresses were not so good. I return to my room and study again. As usual, I did not take it so serious. I can’t understand anything!!! My mind is not in the mood to memorize!!! After eating m y dinner I studied in Physics. I slept very late because of memorizing the dance patterns in PE. I had memorized it already BUT I don’t know if I can still remember it tomorrow. Gudluck to me!!! hahahaha

(2.2) As usual, everyone is busy studying, when I arrived in the room. I spent my time reviewing also. It seems that I already forgot all the things that I memorized last night. My mind is already exploding. The exams started. Our first test is Chemistry, then Physics, MAPEH and elective. The test in Chemistry is the most depressing exam for me. I am really confused with the “ion” thing!!! I expected for a failing mark and maybe I will be the lowest again.(ahhh… how sad….) The other test our hard also. It is already late when I finished the test in Analytic Geometry. Camille, Lerina, Micah and Princess are already tired of waiting. (peace with you guy.\m/.) Laughing out loud while walking!!! I just enjoy walking with them. I guess they are naturally funny. Camille bought 30 pieces of lollipop for her classmates. I also bought baked macaroni for my lunch. When I arrived, I ate the baked macaroni with my mother and cousin. My mother told me that my tita is asking her to accompany her in the mall. My mom can’t go because my father will go home today. My cousin and I were the ones who accompany my tita. I can’t do my movie review. I haven’t started it yet. Before going in the mall, we had many stop overs. First, we go to the BPI and then we still go in the vulcanizing shop, we also go somewhere in Tanza. (I can’t remember the place) At the mall, I accompany my Tita in TCA. She bought power supply for their computer. She also bought a flask disk. After that, we eat merienda. Then we just go somewhere in the mall. Before going home, we go at National Book Store. I bought graphing papers, ballpens, pencil, and I also bought some books to read. It is already late when we go home. When we are in Trece, my Tita bought some fruits for my grand mother. We just noticed that the tire of the car our flat. How unlucky!!! While the driver is fixing it, we ate some calamares. Calamares stop over!!! It is already late when I arrived home. I still do my assignments before sleeping.

We just checked some of our test papers. My scores are just fine. We are not yet checking the Chemistry. I am really afraid of my scores. We also have our test in English. We also watched “They Kissed Again”, a Koreanovela. It is really cute. After the recess in the afternoon, we did not have classes anymore. We used our time planning for the intramurals. The requirements are really many. It seems that we will join the Olympics. (peace…) It is the first time that I will play in the intramurals. I joined the sack race. I think it will be fun.

Laughing Out Loud♥♥♥

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dbEXxXDqWlA/SMt9XEuTlxI/AAAAAAAAABU/vwSQxYp-zD0/s320/1_251422692l.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5245424026361501458" />
Maragondon Day-Go SALIW!!!

Is it a reunion??? hmmmppp… Last Sunday, we watched the celebration of Maragondon Day. It is really fun. We also enjoyed the performance of different schools, especially our school. Though the place is really crowded, it is still fun. It is already 6:15 when we arrived at the plaza. We thought that were already late, but were not. We still waited for a very long time before the street dancing started. The costumes of the participants are good and their dance steps are very amazing. When the street dancing start, they told us to go at the back of the dancer, it means that we will also go in the street dance. Haaaaa… I did not expect that. It is good to participate and it is also good to dance with your classmates, schoolmates, and teachers. While we are there, most of us complained. (Gutom na kami!!!!... whehehe) This street dance is like a reunion. Our former schoolmates are also there. “Contestant #1!”….. “haaaaaaaaaa”, we shouted. We are really amazed of the Saliw dancers. They are really good. After watching the performance of the Bucal National High School students, we already go and take a rest. We did not watched the other performance anymore. After resting, I went to Rochell’s house to do our project. When I returned home, my mother told me that the Saliw Dancers won. I am really happy!!!! ^_^

“Marce” Fever

The weather this week is not so good. There is a typhoon named “Marce”. I expected for the suspension of classes. But we still have classes, though it is raining hard. hmmmppp…

Research Proposal is badly needed!!!!

Last week, I promised to propose a problem BUT until now, I haven’t proposed even one problem. I cannot find any problem. I don’t know when I will propose. hahaha…

WANTED: RESEARCH CONSULTANT
-good in mathematics-

Anal Geom was dissolved!!!!

Noooooooooooo!!!! It can’t be!!! Someone told us that the Anal Geom students will be transferred to Zoology. I will never transfer!!!! It is another problem!!!! False alarm, it was a joke!!!! But there is also some changes, all the anal geom. students will be combined. Last Friday, we had our long test.

No AP for one week ^¤^

Mam Nazareno is in Baguio, so we did not have AP for a week. hmmppp… less pressure!!!

TITRATION!!!

We conduct activities and experiments during our Chemistry time. I enjoy them all, especially the titration. First, we made the sodium hydroxide solution. Our teacher provide us with goggles, mask, and laboratory gown. (Future chemists!!!!-asa!!!!) It is good to see the acidic solution turns to pink.

Laughing Out Loud

Walking when going home, is one of my favorite things to do with my friends. While we are walking, we always laugh. Though others did not intentionally joke, you will laugh. They are naturally funny. We can still laugh, even it is already raining at that time. Our stomach almost ached because of laughing.

Happy d-bay Micah!!!!

Opps… Micah celebrated her birthday last Friday. I am really pressured because of our research. I can't find any research problem and I had to propose two research problem this week. BUT, I wasn't able to propose even one problem. I felt so stupid!

September is the month for proposing research problems. We had to propose to problems every week. haaaahhh... My mind almost explode because of thinking! It is really hard to think of a mathematical investigation. For me, a research about science is better. I think mathematical investigation has less benefits. Everyday, every night, every hour, every minute, and every seconds, I am thinking of my proposal.

One absent-I am not able to go to school this Tuesday morning because of my toothache. I went to the dentist and have a dental check-up. I is my first excuse for the year. Honestly, I still don't want to go to school in the afternoon BUT my mother forced me to go. When I arrived in school, only Froiland is in the room. They are all in the Chemistry Laboratory doing an activity.

Go Saliw dancers!!! - Maragondon day is near and the Saliw dancers are really busy practicing for the street dance. We always watch them and they are really good. We are excited to watch the street dancing during the Maragondon Day!!!

This Sunday, we will do the project in arts!!!

haaahhh... I need a research problem!!!!

P.T.C. Week

P.T.C. Week

Monday – Cramming Day

Due to my stomachache last Sunday, I wasn’t able to do all my assignments and projects. Good thing we don’t have classes today. Today, my stomach is still aching but it is not that painful anymore. I am not yet doing any of my assignments. C.R.A.M.M.I.N.G…………. I still have to go to the computer shop for my blog and research. Speaking of research, I am still badtrip regarding it. haaaahhh…. it is so hard to think of a mathematical investigation project!!!! At night, I did my LSB. Honestly speaking, I don’t understand the story well. It is already late, BUT I am not yet done with all my assignment. I’ll just do it tomorrow at school.

Tuesday – back to school and another cramming day

Back to school!!! When I arrived, almost everyone is busy doing assignments. haaaayyyyy…. [buhay estudyante>>>] Good News!!!! No classes tomorrow!!!! Party Time!!! It is because of the NCAE of the fourth year students. During the flag ceremony, they announced that we will have a meeting after recess regarding the intramurals. I am really excited!!!! During AP time, I am shocked because Mam Nazareno called me “Vie”. I don’t know that she already know me. hehehe… Good thing , I know the answer to her question. [next time, just call me “Karen”] We attended the meeting for the intramurals. We did not have our class in Research. During vacant times, like recess and lunch, almost all of us are doing assignments. We did an activity in Chemistry. haaaahhh… I really hate the smoke of the burning sulfur. It’s an irritant. hehehe….

Wednesday – No classes again!!!

haayyyy…. As usual, I woke up late. I do my assignments and projects. I also do my LSB for Monday, BUT I wasn’t able to finish it. After eating a bread with peanut butter, I do my projects in Physics. Then, I just stayed in our house, watching tv. In the afternoon, I do my LSB. It is really tiring but I enjoy it. After that, I do my laboratory activity in Chemistry. It’s already late when I finished my assignments. My sister and my cousin is already sleeping in our bed but I am still scanning my notes in AP. haaahhhh……
Thursday – Joke… joke… joke…

Everyone is busy talking about the intramurals. It is already by year level. For me, it is better because I can be with my former classmates. I think I will enjoy it more. Though, most of the teachers are busy finalizing our grades, we still had regular classes. During Statistics time, our jaws got tired because of laughing to Sir Mojica’s jokes.
*Sir Mojica’s famous lines and jokes….
1.) “Yes, I’m unfair. I’m walang kapares!”
2.) “A person who does not think is a dead person.”
3.) a joke…. “There was once a student in my class. He has an insomnia (difficulty in sleeping). Then, he just stayed in my class,. After that, he was healed. No more insomnia!!!! <<<laughing out loud>>>

Upon knowing that we will have the PTC tomorrow, I got nervous. I am nervous that I will be the lowest in our section. I also expect that my grade in Chemistry is lower than 85.

*** “The exactness of a thing is not exact,” by Sir Mojica. ***

Friday – PTC day

Regular class until 2:30!!! After that, we just clean our room for the PTC. haaahhh… I don’t know what to do if my grades are all low and failing. I am really nervous. I just stayed at the back of III-F room with Lerina, Bryan, and Noel. Lerina brought a paper with jokes. The jokes are funny but others are corny. Though, I still laugh, trying to enjoy and forget the PTC. After some time, my mother arrived. The PTC starts and my mother already got my card. haaahhh… MY grades are fine except for Chemistry.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://karenanadventure.blogspot.com/2008/08/ptc-week.html' title='P.T.C. It’s not that exciting and not that boring too. Last Monday, we don’t have classes because of the National Heroes’ Day. I just stayed in our house and do my decoction in Chemistry.

TIME TO DRINK THE DECOCTION
We made a medicine decoction for our project in Chemistry. Honestly, my decoction is really yucky. Though I added sugar, the taste is still bad. During Chemistry time, Ma’am Bisa asked us to drink it. I really don’t want BUT I have to. I need to have score for my project.

TYPHOON KAREN
There is a typhoon and the name is “Karen”. It’s me!!! My classmates call me, “bagyong Karen”.

EXAM DAY
Last Thursday, we had an exam given by the division or regional office [hehehe… I’m not sure]. Thirty students from the third year took the exam. I’m happy because Camille and Claudine is included. While the test is not yet starting, we just talked and talked. Camille also brought her dedication notebook, it’s nice to see our pictures and the dedications of our former classmates.

P.T. (full) Week

This week was scheduled for our second periodic test for the first grading. I am really nervous for the exams and the coming PTC.. gosh,,, maybe I am rank 25... I know that my mother will be very disappointed!!! I don't want that to happen.

TUESDAY - first day of exam!!!

Honestly, I really did not review very well for the exam. Yesterday, at home, I find it lazy and sleepy to sdtudy again so I just sleep. When I arrived in school, I tried to review for Araling Panlipunan which is really long. I didn't finished reviewing. ["bahala n c batman, superman, wonderwoman, isama mu n rin c darna at dyosa..."]

Our first exam is Mathematics. I expected for an easy test because the lesson is quite easy. haaaa... nosebleed. The test is really hard. Good news... the test in Araling Panlipunan was postponed. Only the essay test will be given. haaa. I still have time to review. We only have our test in Statistics and it is quite hard. Our test in English is quite hard.!!!

---In the afternoon, I slept at home when I arrived. Then, I review for the test. This time I take it more seriously. I just don't want to be the rank 25.---

WEDNESDAY - 2nd day of the exam

hayyy... We're all busy reviewing!!! Chemistry, Physics, Filipino, AP, Analytic Geometry

Haaa... Chemistry is our first test. Though the test is hard, I find it quite easy because I review seriously. haaaa.. The next test is Physics, it is hard and long. I consume my recess time in finishing the test. I am really hungry 'cuz I didn't it my breakfast. Filipino is easy also as long as you listen well to the previous lessons... hayyyy... AP again. I thought that we won't have essay test anymore because we already have it yesterday... BUT almost half of the test is essay!!! I really hate it. Anal geom.. anal geom.. anal geom... I am already immune of proving theorems!!! hehehe... it is hard and I wasn't able to finish it.

SUBJECT - GRADE

Mathematics - it is really low...
Araling Panlipunan - it is higher than the previous exam, but it is still a failing score
Research - it's just fine... anyway.. i don't care that much
English - I don't know my score
Chemistry - it is fine and I am satisfied with my score
Physics - ok..
MAPEH - my scores are high because of the bonus questions
Filipino - it is ok also.
Analytic Geometry - I got a passing grade

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://karenanadventure.blogspot.com/2008/08/pt-full-week.html' title='P.T. Honestly, I wished that there will be suspension of classes. [badtrip!!!] When I arrived in school, everyone is almost badtrip because we had classes even though there is a strong rain. We also don't have flag ceremony, because of the rain. Today, we had our demo in Physics. I don't understand our lessons well. Sir Mojica is not around because he was confined in the hospital. We had our Chemistry during our Music time. We performed a group activity. Eventhough we repeated it, we still finished it. We also checked our previous quizzes and exercise in Analytic Geometry, but I still don't understand the lesson. ^poor child... whehehe^... Our last period is vacant. I spent my time talking and telling stories... [sobrang daldal ko talaga] When we go home, it's raining very hard and our umbrella almost got broken.

TUESDAY

haaayyyy... We had classes again. We had an early exercise during Araling Panlipunan period. I almost stand during the whole period. My legs are already shaking. During our recess, we eat lugaw in the canteen [hmmm... yummy] i also enjoyed eating pastillas. I ate 3 packs. While seating and talking in front of our room with the others, Brayan shouted "Tita Evs". He didn't noticed that Mam Evelyn is walking and she is already near to us. I laughed and laughed because of that. Mam Tenny told us that we will have an activity in English regarding the Muro-ami fishing. My role is a secretary. [goshhh....]

I just wished that we don't have AP tomorrow. I don't wanna stand anymore.

WEDNESDAY

I really don't know why, BUT I arrived to school late, but it is still before the time. As usual, we cleaned the guidance center in the morning.I felt so sleepy during classes, but I cannot sleep because I am in front. After our first period, MAPEH, I slept while waiting for our next subject. I am shocked, because Ma'am Rhea drop her things in the table. But she is just joking. I enjoy our Mathematics because our lesson is quite easy. During recess, we bought the macaroni salad in the canteen. We didn't finished it 'cause it is not that good. During our research period, I am afraid because I still don't have research to present. Good thing, we just clean during the period. We just practice and made our script for Englilsh. haaaaaaaaaa.... our telephone conversation should last for ten minutes. [telebabad???] During Ap period, I am still afraid to stand again. Good thing, our teacher is in the mood and we just have a group work and discussion. I cannot understand our lesson in Analytic geometry. I am worried for our long test tomorrow.

-We are wearing our old girl scout uniform for mnore that two months already. Ate Mia go to our school, and I expected that she already bring our pink T-shirt. Gosh....... we had a new uniform. It is color red. It's not that good...

THURSDAY

Today is long test..s day. We had our long test in Mathematics and Analytic Geometry. I expect for a hard test in Math and a difficult test in Analytic Geometry. haah... BUT expect the unexpected... our test in Math is relly "NOSEBLEED", and the test in analytic geometry is quite easy. Sir just give us an assignment and we didn't discussed our lessons. [ooopppsss... party time] We made the ray diagram for mirage and I don't know if I am correct. I am really slow in eating lunch. We practice our script in English and it only last for 2 minutes. We repeated it again. Sheila discussed during our AP period... [haaahhh,,, nkhinga din ng maluwag] We had our discussion in Chemistry. NO QUIZ ABOUT IONS!!!

FRIDAY

Respect the Philippine flag!!! While we are walking and wearing the red t-shirt, the fourth year students sing the national anthem. They are quite irritating.

This day is diferent, every subject is for 30 minutes only. We are only half day because of the field trip. Ma'am Bisa arrived late during our period and we didn't have more discussions. We checked our long test in Mathematics and my score is just fine. While we are having our Filipino, the mother of Jenna arrived. Jenna cannot go in the field trip anymore because she is sick. She said that Elaidia is the one to joun the field tirp for Jenna. She also gave her a 200 pesos pocket money. Elaidia almost cry.We don't have elective, so our vacant is for one hour. During vacant, Katrina and I spend the time talking. Dei join our conversation but I cannot talk to her that much. She is kind and funny also. Sheila danced "low". It is really funny to watch her. hehehe... she is like a peking duck. <peace!!!!>

Class Dismissed!!!! When I arrived home, I jut sleep.

.... that's all for this week...... hehehe

Week of Snetiments

No classes again!!!! [hehehe, I love it] hmmppp... According to the news, it is due to the typhoon.

Four days in school, full of sentiments and laughs. Full of challenges! [tira, tira!! I hope I can still survive]

Back to school, after a three day vacation! Gosh, I hope there is a typhoon again. I still don't like to go to school. When I arrived, everyone is busy with Physics. [huuuu... super hirap, nose bleed]…. it is so boring…. Sir started asking about our plans in research. Honestly, I don’t have any idea and plan yet. Good thing, it is alphabetically. Some research ideas are good and some are just ok. I am really problematic regarding research. He also told the Analytic Geometry students to think of a Mathematical investigation project. He said that this project will consume less expenses. Yes, I agree with that. (less expenses & “nose bleed”). I start looking for my research, with the help of the internet. I found some good research, but I think it is very hard to do that. I wish there’s no more research. I think I will not pass the subject because I am not that inclined in Science and not too good in mathematics also.

NOSE BLEED!!!!

It is the favorite expression in the class. This is often used if the lessons, quiz, and assignments are hard. Nose bleed!!!

TEARS KEEP FALLING FROM MY EYES.......

Last Monday, during our last period, we didn’t have classes. Everyone is busy cleaning the school. There will be visitors. Our group was assigned to clean the room and our teacher told us to clean very well. My other group mates (name shouldn’t be mentioned, hehehe), are not cleaning seriously and they are just talking. I felt irritated BUT I can’t show it to them. I am just new in the section and maybe they will tell me that I am so bossy. I just don’t like that. While I am in the room, I felt so bad and pressured. I felt like I don’t belong and nobody wants to talked to me. If I won’t go outside, maybe I will explode. I go out and try to clean there. When I saw Sheila, I called her and we talked at the Cactus garden. When we are there and when she asked me if I have any problem, I can’t control my emotions anymore and I suddenly cried. She was shocked because she didn’t think that I will cry that easy. I told her about my problems. After the dramatic talked, I tried to hide because I don’t want them to see me crying.
NEW SITTING ARRANGEMENT…

Instead of having our English Class, last Thursday, we spent our time fixing our room and arranging the sitting arrangement. Honestly, I don’t want to have a new sitting arrangement. I am afraid that my seatmate won’t like me. Good thing my new seatmate is Jenna. I am happy with my new seatmate. I am sitting in the middle column in front. [gosh, I am faced-to-faced with the teacher] I can’t sleep during classes anymore. hehehe,,,

A DRAMATIC OPEN FORUM… huhuhu

After having the new sitting arrangement, our adviser told us that she will already stay in our room. She also told us that she doesn’t like noisy surroundings especially when she is doing something. Our other classmates suggested to have an open forum. Sheila is the one who started it. She told the class about my problems but she didn’t mention my name. After that, Ma’am Tenny asked if who are the students form other section. Elaidia and I raised our hands. Ma’am told me to tell something about the section. I said that I am happy BUT it is still hard to relate sometimes. After that, my classmates are all staring at me with the expression “aaahhhh”. I can’t control my emotions again and I cried again. I really find it hard to adjust, and I felt like they don’t like me. It is so hard to be alone most of the times.

NO INTERNET CONNECTION, BADTRIP!!!

Last Wednesday, my mother went in SM to apply for the connection of smart broadband in our house. They said that they will go to our house this Friday. This Friday, I am so excited to go home, because of the internet. When I arrived home, my mother told me that we can’t have internet connection anymore. It is because of the tall trees beside our house. They just told us to refund the money that we pay.

Friendship? Does it make sense? At this moment, I don’t think so. Friendship makes me feel bad and my friends showed me things and emotions which I can’t really get and understand. Every thing seems to be unreasonable. I just don’t get it. I feel so bad now.

Sophomore Life is Over!!!!!!

"Life is so unfair", everything is happening out of reasons. I can't understand all the people that sourrounds me. I can't understand my feelings and emotions. Everything is awkward. Will you please explain everything to me?

This week is full of problems. I don't know if I can still handle it. Even though I already wanted to give up, I can't. I don't want my mother and my family to be disappointed. They thought that I am strong and I can handle everything. It is so hard to pretend. You have to smile, even though you already want to cry and your tears are already falling. You have to be strong when you want to give up.

Now, I felt like I am so alone, that my former friends are all gone. Everyone is going away from me. Even though he is already tired and sick, he will still work just to sustain our needs. I know that it is really hard to work especially when you are far from your family. Going home once/twice a month is a very big sacrifice for him. My father is the buffoon in our house. He is very humorous. I can still remember when I was young, we usually played and tickle each other before we sleep. When we wake up, he will tell us funny stories to raise our energy. He always shares his jokes to us and it really made our stomach ached. My father, my best friend!!! He is always beside me whenever I need someone to talk to. He is there to listen to my thoughts and feelings. Sometimes, I find it hard to share my problems with him. I just don't want him to be problematic also. Every time my classmates will tell me about problems regarding their father, I felt lucky because I don’t have any problem to him. He always say that he doesn’t want to be strict because he doesn’t want me to be rebellious. He always laugh even my jokes are corny. My childhood days are full of memories with my father, but now, as I grew older those memories seems to vanished. I missed my father and I missed our bonding. I missed being “Papa’s Girl”. My father goes home very seldom and he only stays in our house for few days only. Even though we don’t have enough bonding right now, I know that his love for us will always be there. Papa, you’re the best!!!

Family History...

“Acknowledging our ancestors means we are aware that we did not make ourselves, that the line stretches all the way back, definitely, to God”, stated by Alice Walker who is a novelist and a poet. Everyone should know his/her ancestors. They are all part of our life. In connection with this, I will tell you something about my family. My mother and my father came from different places. My mother, Vicky San Juan is a pure Caviteña while my father, Freddie San Juan is a genuine Bicolano. Two different places, two different cultures and two different personalities; they got married and have a family.

My mother is the youngest child of an ordinary couple in Maragondon, Cavite. My grandfather (Pedro Oller) died months before my grandmother (Paulita Oller) gave birth to my mother. Before he passed away, he is working as a farmer. My grandfather’s income was not enough so my grandmother have to work also. She earned money by washing clothes with the help of her three daughters. Having been alone and a widow, she did everything to sustain the needs her family. Her parents (Claro de Guia and Marcela de Guia) also experienced hardships in life. His father was a farmer and her mother was a midwife. On the other hand, my grandfather parents lived a normal life in Alfonso Cavite. His father (Rafael Oller) was a farmer also and his mother (Talya Oller) was a common housewife who took the responsibility of taking care of their children.

From Cavite, let us now go to Bicol. Living in an uncivilized place is not easy at all. There’s no enough job for everyone, that’s why the mother of my grandmother (Basilia Sapad) and the mother of my grandfather (Diosdada San Juan) both stayed in the house and did not have the opportunity to work. While their mothers stayed in the house their fathers worked and tried to earned money. The father of my grandmother (Pedro Sapad) was a farmer and the father of my grandfather (Fidel San Juan) was a cook in a small restaurant. Working so hard, their earned money will be used in their necessities like foods. Living near the sea, my grandfather (Afroniano San Juan) worked as a fisherman and my grandmother (Benigna San Juan) stayed in the house and did her role as a mother and a wife.

Now, we are residing in Bucal 1 with my cousins and my grandmother. My father is working as a company employee in Baguio and he is the breadwinner in the family. Though, my mother is not working, she is still trying her best to help my father in earning money. She is sometimes selling different varieties of flowers and plants. They are doing everything just to give us a good life. At this moment, a half Caviteña and a half Bicolana girl is already a third year high school student and trying to know and understand something more about her family history. ♥☺♥

Adventurous!!!

After the pressuring week and getting low scores in our periodic test, I went to school having a new haircut. hahaha,... I enjoy this week even if we have a lot of things to accomplish.

New lessons, new bondings, new projects, new tasks!!!!

This week, we tackled new lessons. I enjoy some of them. In Mathematics, we studied different way on how to get the solutions of different equations. It is hard but I still enjoy it. We used three methods, the case method, which is the longest and the most tiring; the interval method, which is quite confusing for me; and the sign chart method, which is my favorite method. We also had a group activity last Friday. My group mates were all inclined in Math. hahaha.... I also enjoy talking and working with them.

Araling Panlipunan-we studied about Indian Civilization. For me, it is quite boring. I just don't like to memorize a lot of things. Last Thursday, I stand during our class because I wasn't able to answer during our recitation. Even I stand, I still enjoy it. whehehe,,, I don't know why!!!

MAPEH-we checked our test papers this Monday. My grades were just fine. In Health, we discussed about something. I can't remember it anymore.!!!! PE-we performed different physical test. Haaaaaaaa.... it really made my body ached.

Chemistry-I enjoy our class this week. I enjoy the quizzes about ions. I am so happy to get passing grades. We also performed a group activity about the densities of liquid. Our group performed well.

English-its just fine. We had a short speech about the roles of children in building a solid family. As I am delivering my speech, I got nervous and I forgot some of my lines. We also have to make a diagram about our family. I enjoyed it and I discovered something about myself and my family.

Filipino-we discussed about the "Moses, Moses". It is a short play. We are also grouped into three. My grouped was assigned to make the "Pagsusuring Panglinguistika". Others were assigned to act. I enjoy watching their short play yesterday. Some of them had a potential of being a theatrical actor and actress someday.

Research and Statistics-I really don't know why, BUT I really felt sleepy during our class. One time, I slept while having classes and I didn't understand our lesson. My classmates were all laughing because they saw me sleeping.

Analytic Geometry-our lesson is quite confusing BUT I enjoy our discussions especially using our calculator to get the "degree-minute-second". We had some exercises. Some of my scores are low but others are also high.

Physics-the lesson is really confusing for me. I am trying my best to study well so that I can understand it more and I can get high grades during our discussion. We also had different activities about reflection.

This week is full of happenings and events. I learned a lot of things and lessons.

" What every man needs, regardless of his job or the kind of work he is doing, is a vision of what his place is and may be. He needs an objective and a purpose. He needs a feeling and a belief that he has some worthwhile thing to do. What this is no one can tell him. It must be his own creation. Its success will be measured by the nature of his vision, what he has done to equip himself, and how well he has performed along the line of its development." ♥☺♥

Periodic Exams... Another Pressure

This week is really the most pressuring week of all. It is because of the first periodic test. I really feel the pressure especially while I am getting the exams. Before, when I was still in other section, I am not pressured during the exams. I don't take periodic test seriously. I am not afraid to get low grades, because I know that I won't get the lowest score. BUT, this time the situation is really different. I belong to the highest section and there is really a big possibility for me to get the lowest score.

Monday-One day before the exam. Review day.... Everyone is talking about the periodic test. After classes, we all go home. I brought all my books and notebooks to study. When I arrived home, I told my mother that our periodic test is tomorrow. She told me to study very well. I started studying BUT while I am studying I felt so sleepy so I wasn't able to study well.

Tuesday-First day of Exams. When I arrived in school, they are all busy reviewing. Jenny, Elaidia and I go to the Hardin ng Mga Bayani and cleaned. While cleaning, we are studying. We preferred to study there because it is quiet. When we return in our room, everyone is till busy reviewing. I got more pressured. Haaaaa..... The test are really hard for me, because I did not study well. I already expect that I will get the lowest scores in most of the exam. We go home early. When I arrived home, I look for Petite (my god daughter), today is her birthday. I gave her the umbrella that I bought. After eating lunch, I stayed in my room and tried to study. I tried to study and memorize a lot of lessons. hahaha.... it is really many. Nothing is entering my mind. More and more pressure!!!

Wednesday-Second day of the exam. It is really so pressuring. I tried to memorize the table of ions while I am in the tricycle. We go in the garden to study and cleaned. In the room, everyone is still busy studying. While I am looking at them, I got more pressured. I felt like I don’t belong to the section. Chemistry-Physics-Filipino-MAPEH-Analytic Geometry.... It is already lunch but I am still answering the test in Anal. Geom. My former classmates are already waiting for me, because we will go to Camille's house. I already past my paper. When we arrived to Camille's house, we go in their "mini-kubo". We are all excited to see her mother (Mommy Josie)... We ate the hamburgers that we bought. I am really happy to stay there. We had picture taking again. I missed the sophomore life. We also watched the video of the "fluoriniztah". haaaaaaaa.... I felt so sad and I missed all our memories. We go back to school. In school, we cleaned the Hardin ng mga Bayani. After cleaning, we stayed there and talked. We shared different stories. Some are dramatic and others are extremely funny. I really enjoy it.

Thursday-We checked our periodic tests. As what I expected, I got low scores. I don't know how will I show my test papers to my mother. I am sure that she will be disappointed to me. I also sleep very late because of the Suring Basa and the Informal Theme that we have to pass tomorrow.

Friday-No more classes tomorrow!!! We continue checking our test and discussed some new lessons. This day is full of fun and pressure. I also felt sleepy in some subjects. I don't know the reason why. While eating hamburger for lunch, I do my Informal theme in Filipino. When I return to our room, I put design on my theme During vacant time, I joined the Tagisan ng Talino in Filipino. I didn't win but I still enjoy it.

Now, I just promise to study well in the next periodic tests!!!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://karenanadventure.blogspot.com/2008/07/this-week-is-really-most-pressuring.html' title='Periodic Exams... Now, I can say that I have a lot of improvement already. I learned a lot of things and I discover more about other people and more about myself.

As days passed by, life being a junior become harder. The lessons are really difficult for me. Communicating with my classmates is also difficult for me to do. Haaaaa.... I don't know why I can't adjust. I am really trying my best to adjust BUT I really can't!!!!

We had our first Kabayani Club meeting this week. Some of the members didn't attend the meeting. During the meeting, we talk about the future plans of the club. We also discussed the club t-shirt. One of the students suggested the pictures of Mam Joan and Mam Evelyn as the logo of the club. Everyone laughs upon hearing that. hahaha... sounds funny...

During this week, the teachers also told us about the field trip. I got exited upon knowing that we will go in Subic, because I haven't go there yet. When I go home, I tell it to my parents. They are not yet deciding if they will allow me. How I wish they will allow me!!!

This Friday, I really find it hard to walk because I wear shoes with high heals. Haaaa... so bad trip!!!!

Elaidia and I went to Pamela's house this Saturday in Tanza. Honestly, it is my first time to go in far places without my parents. It is also my first time to have ride in a bus on my own. I felt so happy and proud. hahahaha.. I don't know why!!!! We do our editorial. the hardest part is to start it.... But we still finished it on time. We ride in a mini bus in going home. It is really exciting. Before we go home, we went to Velamart to buy something. When I reached home, my mother asked me about our project.

One month being a junior.... I know that there is still a lot of challenges and adventures wating for me. I hope that I can face them all. Wish me luck!!!

Just Like A Butterfly...

I believed that God created everything for a purpose and all the things that are happening have a reason. Honestly speaking, I still don't know my real purpose in life. Now, I am a student and my purpose is to study and develop my skills . But I know that I won't be a student forever. That is the reason why I should have my purpose in life.

Now, I have two main purpose in life. First, my priority is my family. I will do everything just to improve the status of our life. Someday, I want my parents to be happy. I want them to live without thinking of any problem. I know that they made a lot of sacrifices for our family. As their daughter, I should give them all the things that they deserved. Second, I want to live just like a butterfly. I know that a butterfly can just live for a short time and like humans, we don't know how long will we exist in this world. I want to be a butterfly who can go anywhere they want. When a butterfly is still young, it seems that it doesn't have its purpose in life. They are just in their cocoon hiding. But as it grows, from an egg to larva then pupa, it will turn into a colorful butterfly which add decoration to our life. Like a butterfly, I want to put color to others life.

Someday, I wished that I can fulfill all those dreams...

Pressuring Week!!!

Monday! No classes! I really love it. "Suspension of classes" is my favorite news. During Monday, I spent my time doing my assignments and talking with my cousins. This day maybe the best day of the week. My mother is always reminding me about my assignments and other home works. Sometimes, I got so irritated. I know that I shouldn't be irritated because she is just reminding me BUT her voice already irritates my ears.

On the next day, I still don't want to go to school. My mother took a very hard time in waking me up. One of my cousin who stopped schooling told me that he already miss going to school. As I am listening to him, I felt different. I got confuse. I am just thinking of the reason why he missed going to school. Because, if I were on his place, I think I will really enjoy the very long vacation. Sometimes, I really don’t like to go to school anymore. How I wished there is no classes again. He also told me that I am so lucky because my parents can afford my studies. That time, I felt bad. I realized that I am really lucky.

This week is really full of challenges and adventures. Almost all the lessons became harder. Sometimes, I find it hard to understand the lessons. Haaahhh,,, I am just trying my best to study. I know that no one will help me, except myself.

Now, I still find it hard to talk to my other classmates. I can’t adjust yet. One time, I open my friendster account and I saw all the pictures of the “fluoriniztah”. I remember my classmates again. I missed them a lot. I missed our bonding before. Every time I will see them, I feel very happy. Going out every lunch and eating with my former classmates is one of my favorite things to do.

Last Friday, I felt so irritated to one of my classmates. It seems that she is accusing me of getting her handkerchief. I really don’t like that kind of attitude. Even though she is just joking, she should not accuse somebody. That joke means a lot to me.

A lot of things happened during this week. I don’t know if I can still handle it. I just believe that everything is happening for a reason.

Solitary Moments...

One week had already passed. Now, it's a new week, a new challenge, and a new adventure. This week is really different. I enjoy it BUT there's still a lot of things that made my day incomplete.

This week, our group was assigned to clean the room. Before, to clean the room is one of my favorite things to do. Now, it's quite different. I don't know the reason why, but I really find it boring to clean the room. Every morning, I watered the plants outside our room and I helped Elaidia cleaned our CR.

If I will compare this week to the past week, I can say that it is really harder. It is tough in different ways. In terms of academics, we had a lot of new lessons. The lessons are hard for me. We also have a lot of things to do. I find it hard because of the pressure. I belong to the "N" section and the expectations to our section is really high. Sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve to be there. Haaaaaaaahhhh, I'm still in the period of adjustment. Speaking of adjustment, I am still trying to adjust to my new classmates. It is really the hardest thing to do. When I heared them talking about their sophomore life, I also remember my life before. When I heared them laughing with each other, I remember my former classmates. How I wished I am with them. I missed everything about them. I missed all the laughs that made our stomach ached. I missed all their jokes, that made me forget all my problems. I missed the "Fluoriniztah". Everytime I saw them, I feel happy. I always tell them that I am happy with my life now BUT behind those laughs and smiles is a person full of sadness. Until now, I am still not that comfortable with them. Sometimes, I feel like they don't want to talk to me. I just try my very best to have a bonding with them. Before, I don't experience being alone. Now, there were times that I am really alone, especially when Elaidia is not with me. She is my closest friend in our section. If I will be given a chance, I still want to be with my former classmates.

"First impressions never lasts", as what others said. I believe it is true. When I was still in first year and second year, I thought that my classmates now are really serious , especially when it comes to study. Now, I am already with them for two weeks. I found out that they are not really serious.

A lot of changes already happened in my life since I become a junior student. I already learned a lot of things, academically and morally. Now, I will try my best to apply all the things that I learned and all the things that I will still learn in my daily life.

Dealing With New Sets of People

Adjusting to a new environment is one of the hardest things to do especially for a person who become used to their former surroundings. I've been a "Fluorine" student for two years. Now, I was transferred to another section. I am now a III-Nitrogen student.

During the first day of classes, talking to everyone makes me nervous and afraid. I feel so alone. I am like a stranger. I don't to know to whom I will talk to. Good thing, some of my former classmates are with me. When I arrived in school, I go with Elaidia and Jenny. Now, am facing a new adventure in my life, new classmates and new people to deal with. I don't know how I will talk to them. During the class, I tried to greet my classmates. Introducing myself is really difficult for me to do. Sometimes, i just tried to keep quiet. For me, it is really hard to talk to them. I felt like they don't want to talk to me. During vacant times, I just go with my former classmates. While I am with them, they asked me how is it to be in “N”. I always tell them that it is fine. Yes, it is fine. But, it is still hard. At first it is so difficult to talk, but as days passes by, I became open to my new classmates. Now, I have more friends and I can easily talk to them without nervousness and without being afraid. How I wish I will enjoy my junior life althroughout.
